Role in the Production – (Actor) Mohtarma
Sanskruti Marathe is an Indo-Canadian dancer, actor, and writer whose artistic journey began at the age of five with Indian Classical Dance. Over the past 17 years, she has trained extensively in Bharatnatyam—completing her Arangetram—and is currently pursuing her Kathak Vishaarad under esteemed Gurus. Dance was her first love and continues to be her source of divinity, discipline, and joy. A graduate of York University’s Acting Conservatory, Sanskruti blends classical rigor with contemporary storytelling to create culturally rooted, emotionally resonant work. She aspires to use movement to bridge generations, traditions, and communities.
A bold new voice in Canadian theatre, her debut play The Roof is Leaking, co-written with Davinder Malhi, premiered at Berkeley Street Theatre in May. The Toronto Star called it “brimming with rich ideas.” After performing at the prestigious Edinburgh and Toronto Fringe her play At the end of Kaliyuga and her appearance in The Proposal is set to entertain audiences in Mississauga.
