Gunja is a storyteller at heart with a deep love for acting, directing, writing, and dance. Her creative journey has taken her from India to North America, working across commercials, voice-overs, documentaries, theatre, and short films—many of which have been featured at international festivals. In 2022, she wrote and directed her first one-act play, Ashalata & Binodini, inspired by Tagore’s Choker Bali, which premiered at the Mississauga Fringe Festival. Since 2018, she’s been proud to be part of SAWITRI Theatre Group, where she continues to grow and collaborate with like-minded artists. This year, she’s especially excited to return to the Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival, performing alongside AJ Dreamz Kreation and Adaakar Arts. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, Gunja is passionate about telling stories that connect people, spark conversation, and reflect the many layers of the human experience.
